The New York statute of limitations (SOL) is normally 6 years, so that doesn't sound too good for you at present. But I'm not at all sure that tribal law wouldn't affect the SOL and the FDCPA, since you're living on a reservation. And there are always exemptions that may protect your primary home if you don't have any other assets to protect.

Maybe someone else on the board knows more. Too bad Why Chat's gone until Sunday!
