If I should decide to go the route of attempting a settlement with the ruthless MBNA/Wolpoff&Abramson/Upton,Cohen & Slamowitz snakes, what kind of advice can you guys offer me before I go to court? I'd like to know something prior to the start of negotiating with them and an idea as far as what percentage they may be willing to accept if I offer to pay in one lump sum immediately as opposed to a payment plan...keep in mind that I have NO job, assets, bank account, home, etc. but I think declaring bankruptcy for less than $8000 of debt may not be the right move because I may be able to slowly build my credit up over the next couple years....Any advice would be greatly appreciated...Thanks in advance.
