Sounds like a lot has already happend, and maybe its already been to arbitration, and you did not respond to their notices of arb.
Why not consider hiring a well known bk attorney in your area, and have him contact them to settle.
This way they will know and understand that should they fail to settle there is good chance you will follow thru with BK in which case they will get nothing. Its really a poker game but with the BK attorney on your side I think there is a very good chance they will settle, and your attorney can make sure the settlement is structured corectly to show payment in full and an agreement to make sure they report it correctly to the credit agencies. I suggest start out with a 30% offer.
