Please listen to begoodorelse and go find a lawyer. You might find one that will accept payments- I did- it made all the difference in the world.

You are in the right, but keep in mind that these lawyers are in front of the judges all the time and some of them have a less than honorable relationship.

I have had some success by filing complaints with the bar association regarding the conduct of lawyers- in your case- writing down the wrong court date- that is simply inexcusable and seems to be a recurrent theme on this board.

Took a law class with a judge who says defending yourself in court is like doing your own brain surgery.

Beg borrow steal the money to pay a lawyer. It will be worth it. You might even be able to recover your attorneys fees- esp if the lawyer can show that the other side is not operating legally.

Court is tricky and it is easy to lose on a technicality. (That is the basis of lots of criminal law defense.) So, please listen and save your mother's money.

go to www.naca.net and call every lawyer there until you find one that will help you.
