a credit card company wrote my account off as a bad debt, and posted it on my credit report as a charge off. Now a new company bought out the debt, never contacted me and is messing up my credit with late payment notices. i have 2 questions. if i start paying them is there anyway i can fight the whole 120 days past due notice they put on my credit report since they never contacted me? and secondly, if i pay them off does the charge off stay on my credit since they sold the account?
