Ok, you have encountered a third degree collection lawyer. I strongly suggest you get some help- try www.naca.net and read all the lawyer profiles.

motion to compel response is a formal request to have the judge tell you that you must respond within _____ days or you will be in contempt of court. If you do not respond to this decree- they could issue a bench warrant for your arrest.

You did not post your situation- are you past sol ? What state ? Did the attorney attach any kind of proof to the lawsuit when it was filed?

Every document they have in their possession is supposed to be filed with the original lawsuit. If it is not there, they are probably trying to get you to prove their case by admitting everything.

Please get a lawyer. It will save you lots of money, lots of time and aggravation.
