No Mail?

We have three accounts that are in collections, and the last time I got anything in the mail from anyone was sometime last summer. However, we get several telephone calls per week that are obviously from CA's. Sometimes they leave a message, often I just see their number on caller id. I've never talked to any of them and don't intend to do so, but I do wonder why they are still so vigorous about calling but never send anything via mail?
