I am trying to buy a house. They do not respond to written. I need to take care of this balance before they will qualify me. Attention has offered a few times to settle at 50%. The SOL is up in May.(Utah - Goods and Services, 4 years). I want to settle with them at their 50% but I need to do it now. The conversation would go something like... I have requested validation that this debt is mine with no response. The SOL (according to the date of service on their letter + 180 days) is up in 2 months. I can walk away and let the SOL run out and you will not get a dime from me, OR I am prepared to settle this alleged debt in exchange for return letter stating that debt is settled and agreement of complete deletion of the tradeline on my CR with all CRAs. I will send payment immediately upon receipt of fax agreeing to the specified terms. I need to do something NOW. I can't wait 30+ days or I will lose this house that I am wanting to make an offer on. 50% would only be about $130.
I can fax this in a letter also, if someone has their fax number, but I need to do it NOW.
