Do NOT tell them that the SOL is about to expire and that you can just wait it out. All they have to do (and they WILL, if you tip them off like that) is FILE before the SOL runs out. Even if the judgment comes after SOL, as long as they have filed before then you can't use that as a defense.

If you want to settle, fine, but don't tip them off and try to threaten them with a FUTURE SOL experation. That won't work.
