Bipolar patients can function on meds for a time, but eventually end up on disability. I don't know of ANY schizos who can function normally with or without meds. NOPE. Not if it is a real dx. Lots of misdiagnosis in mental health. But, I don't want to argue about it. That's just my 2 cents.
