Hello!
I have an old judgement....I did a deed/title search to my home and it did not show up as a lein on my property. One of my questions is: If it is NOT showing a lein on my property..when we sell will I have to pay it? The judgement was from a previous marriage and in Ohio I understand that a home owned by husband and wife cannot have a lein if the judgement is from before the new marriage? In others words I brought this judgement into my new marriage.
Also the judgement is for $300 at 10% per annum for 14 years what other if any costs can I expect to be charged? I was told that at 10% its about 30 dollars per year..... if that would be correct I could pay that but I am terrified there will be many other costs applied to this judgement. Please help me I am so worried about this. What can I expect? I appreciate any help you can give me.
