In order for a judgment to be a lien on real property, it must be certified and entered in the County where the property is located. If the judgment was entered in your prior name, it will not likely show up in any title search of the sale of your home, which is presumably in joint ownership in your married name. IF you try to "pay" it now, it MAY create more of a problem than already exists, as the notation of a "paid" judgment will be entered under your married name, and will certainly affect your credit for the purchase of any new home. I suggest you opt out ASAP, then start deleting old addresses on your credit reports.
