The summons and Complaint you received IS your notice that you're being sued. There isn't any requirement in any state that I know of that says you must be 'notified' prior to a lawsuit being filed. The 14 days starts on the day you were served.
Go to WhyChat's site and look for the link to 'How to Answer a lawsuit'. That will guide you in answering the Complaint. How old is this charge-off and when did you last pay the ORIGINAL creditor ??
