texas homestead 100% xempt, the head of house 60,000 is personal property like furniture, nicnaks, etc etc at garage sale prices, at a g sale you may get 25-50.00 for a tv (unless u got one of those 3000.00 mega tv's)
individual bk is personal 30,000 at garage sale prices. you get to keep 1 car for every legal driver inthe family(course if you have a note on it you have to reafirm the debt or it gets repo'd) if its paid off, its yours and xempt. assetts would be things that you have that are worth alot of money and not xempt, like a 40,000 painting perhaps, as mentioned before, in texas you could xempt a horse(could be a race horse worth mucho donero-xempt) i have some very xspensive dogs(show) and they are xempt as family pets. very little they can get if you are the average person. if you are stinkin rich, then your gonna loose somethin, but can still find a creative way to keep alot of it. texas rocks when it comes to xemptions :)
