about texas laws..homes, and BK/please be careful

re-starting this thread..anyways. this is what happened to me. it is why i say BE CAREFUL. truly, i dont recall what i re-affirmed. turned out it didnt matter anyways. long as you pay, they cant take them. but on the house..citibank had the mortage. the BK was not signed off..discharged.. in the time limit citi thought it should be. (fine, let them tell a federal judge when to sign something) so what they did was go into foreclosure. DURING the BK. (yeah yeah illegal blah blah coulndt afford to do anything about it, so what? ) changed my interest to 5% compounded daily..put us into a month to month tenancy, and as soon as we were a day late on the payment they went into eviction mode. called an called citi and got 100 diff answers--its not you, its a computer glitch--to dont worry, your current anyways. i KNEW something was wrong. citi never told me nothing. finally found out what is up..i would have stayed in the BK dept of citi forever..and i could have legally lost my house had i been a week late on a payment. (try that hanging over your head) the lawyer said it would cost me $1500 to fight it..and said dont bother..they cant sue u for the diff should we be evicted!!! we owned this house 25 years..and i was and still am totally pissed. what my point is..pardon me for goin in a circle..is someone can read the laws and say..well its exempt. that dont mean squat to these companies. dont take so much for granted..above all DONT ASSUME anything. the companies may well not tell you a thing they have done..and you might find yourself out on the street. we re-fied our house.paid off citi and i told them to kiss my A$$. that was a crummy way to do bisness. not one person told me what was goin on...i had to do it all myself. and learn the hard way. citi bought out the associates..so i had no contract with them anyways, only associates. so im not big on legal vs illegal...it dont matter much anyways if u cant afford a lawyer to tell you this kinda thing.
