The web site is great and I found the letter. However, I still don't know whether or not SOL applies to my case. The account is definitely past SOL for NY (more than 6 years) where the account was opened and where default occurred, but according to this website, there is no SOL for Ohio. If I am sued in Ohio, can I still claim expiration of the NY SOL? Do you know if there is a provision in the OH statutes that limits a lawsuit to the same SOL as say NY?
