my 2 cents. a judgement is for 10 years here in texas...she must check her laws in her state to see how long they last where she is. nothing says anyone has to accept any amount as paid in full. i dont know about your dollar contract you keep mentioning..but i dont want to pay some lawyer to fight it out in court. i think some of you here have a unrealistic idea on how courts and lawyers work. no, no one has to accept anything and most contracts have in fine print..a clause that says,, should one be late on paying, they can demand the note paid in full. very seldom enforced..but its right there. and who wants to pay a dollar for the next 30 years anyways with interest piling up? your simply wasting your money. you are entitled to your ideas and free to express them, as we are to express ours. yours simply make no sense to me at all. read the fine print. one late payment and they can demand it all. and take what they choose to. go to court and no matter how right you may be..you will tied up in appeals and money goin out for years. very few people want to do that, that long. being right doesnt mean squat usually.
