Did they purchase the account, or was it really assigned to them by BankOne? It makes a huge difference in whether they can attach interest after charge-off, and how much.

And the only thing you're doing by talking to them is verifying information they're not sure is accurate. They'll throw in false information just to get you to keep talking.
