From what I've read here..assigned means Bank One still 'owns' the acc't and they would be the one to sue. They just hired them to collect it. Sold would mean Bank One no longer has anything to do with it, the CA now owns the debt, and would sue me. Correct me if I'm wrong. I thought it was important to know for personal reference.
I forgot to ask if he was licensed in my state.That might have stopped him in his tracks. Based on his accent, I'd say he's from another state. I wouldn't pay anything just from a phone conversation anyways. How do I really know who he is without anything in writting.
