Did you file an Answer to the Complaint when you got the Summons ? A Motion for Summary Judgment is the suing partie's way of saying you have no defense, you owe them, and they are entitled to the judgment w/o you ever defending yourself. If you didn't Answer the Complaint, this is the FIRST thing they do, though it is a standard maneuver even if you DO answer.

You need to go to court and present your defense. If they have not validated the debt, then they must do so before they can win - unless the judge is a credit law moron.
