Like Lady said, this is a standard legal maneuver and *seldom* is granted. If you've filed an answer, didn't admit the debt was yours, and also disputed the amount, just show up for the motions hearing to kindly *remind* the judge that you've filed an answer and that there are legal issues to be decided. You did get the date and court room notice for the hearing, right?
