You need to file an answer and notice of appearance. If you can get a lawyer to help you, that would be best. If it is the Credit Union THEMSELVES who are suing, you could probably get a lawyer to take the case for the counter suit. If it is a collection agency, you will likely have to do it yourself.

You can use the link below, a revolving line of credit is the same statute as a credit card, both have 4 year SOL in Pa.
The "fake" 2000 entry is a common trick by CA's like scamco to avoid being thrown out of Court.
They count on a % of people not answering, and getting a default judgment.

Under NO circumstance try to negotiate or settle this, all it will do is RUIN your credit, as it will come back on your report, and it is $$ down a rathole, as they have NO legal right to collect.
