As I posted before, file your answer, using the SOL defense, they will have to PROVE that the account was paid on in 2000, AND that it had not defaulted prior to 1999.

When you get ready to go to Court, you should have ANY old statements that would support your SOL defense, but ONLY use them if they produce faked statements that show you paid in 2000 and ONLY after you request them to PROVE that it was not a defaulted account in 1999.
