Collection Agency Screw-up...

I hope you guys aren't getting sick of me yet, but I am trying to find out as much info as I can before going into battle with the sneaky slimebags...

Isn't the CA required to notify me before they start their rigged arbitration process ?? Not only did they send me notification 3 weeks after they filed (claiming they would like to resolve and avoid proceeding with the arbitration), but they listed the wrong account number and balance amount on the notice.

How could I have repudiated the validity of arbitration if they notify me after the fact?? And with the wrong account number and balance at that!

And, I still want to know if it is illegal for a CA to continue charging interest on a debt...
