Lechmere, a New England electonic,housewares retailer went into bankruptcy years ago and was purchased by Montgomery Ward. Montgomery Ward later closed all Lechmere stores in 1997. Montgomery Ward has now gone bankrupt and is no more. It suffices to say, there is no Lechmere anymore. If you’ve got a Lechmere card with Monogram Bank of Georgia, that has to be VERY old. Lechmere’s accounts were more recently managed by CBUSA Citibank’s retail card unit. Why exactly are you trying to contact them? If they are on your credit report, dispute it with the credit bureau. There’s nobody left to verify these accounts.
