Don - you are a genius. Yes, this card is very old and hasn't been used since perhaps 1997. My credit report does not list it as closed but I finally got one person at one of the 800 numbers to tell me the account was purged. I would prefer my credit report to list the account as closed but I've done enough transferring between call centers for one Friday afternoon.
