If it was a joint account, with your husband as primary, and if your husband had signed the normal account waiver when he and you opened the account, and if there was EITHER a valid judgment against him from the repo, OR if the original creditor who repossessed the vehicle was the SAME Credit Union, then yes they could take the $$, however, if you can PROVE that most or a part of the funds were YOURS, you can get YOUR $$ released. You need a lawyer, or you can go to the Court, if it was from a judgment, or the Credit Union if it was not, nd get the release of exempt funds form.
