HI again,

So, Capitol one purchased an old debt I had previously removed from my credit report. They are now reporting it again even though it went to collections in 1993.

On advice i received here i sent them a polite letter telling them that i will be seeing them in small claims if they dont remove it. They haven't removed it yet, all they did was send me a letter stating that they needed more information from me.

I also contacted the original creditor, B of A, and they sent me a confirmation letter stating that they have notified all credit agencies to delete the account. Experian is still showing the account a month later and when I sent them a copy of my confirmation from B of A they responded with

"using the following information the following account was not found: B oa A ....."

and did not remove the capitol one account that is listed with B of A as the original creditor.

anyone have an idea what the best way to proceed is from here? Sue Capitol? or just press experian even though they seem to not be acknowledging the B of A letter i sent them.

thanks,

withnail.
