Avoid further activity? Keyser has it right, gthey will call you relentlessly to make sure your going to pay them what you agreed when you agreed.

As a matter of fact they're going to need your account number for autodaft to make this work. Once they have the #'s they can pull anytime - you don't have to approve it - givng the # is approval - that's how I donated 1500 to what I thought was the OC and ws in reality a CA. WHen I called the OC they had no clue what I'd paid the CA.

The mark of charge off was already there for me, paying a CA will do NOTHING for your credit except buy them the things you want.

SAve your money for OC and let the 'further collection activity' proceed...it will proceed with or without you.

It's like feeding a stray dog to get rid of him - not happening!
