Well, well. Another innovative foray into scam-damnery from old crony Crapitol One. Report them to the FTC, your state AG, and your state banking commission. The latter as they are an OC, not a collector, generally, and they are scamming you with an SOL debt which you no longer owe. As with the inverse projective language of the criminal, their request for more info means they should be sending you the info, and as well a check to cover their transgressions. You've told them what they need to know, tell them nothing more. Send CRRS ltr to CRA offering to sue them, and report them as well to FTC etc.
Sometimes best not to throw the first litigious punch. Remember, this is a war of attrition, first wear them down with the regulatory agencies, wait for them to sue you, the mash their little bambino cujones into the nearest stucco wall via all legal methods at your disposal.
