By stunning coincidence I'm a NC lawyer who's annoyed with those who pollute the profession, and I LOVE to put litter in its place. Yes, it is illegal to divulge information as he did, although NC annoyingly does not recognize a cause of action for invasion of privacy just because somebody did that. BUT the good ol' FDCPA applies in full and in my opinion so does the NC Unfair and Deceptive Trade Practices Act. NCUDTPA has an exception for "learned professions" which has been held to include lawyers but I don't see how in fact these knuckleheads can be considered lawyers because they act no differently from "civilian" CAs.
