As my subject states, I sent a copy of my Answer (as well as an Appearance)to the CA and received another "settlement" letter recently, with a copy of the summons that was delivered to my home (must have crossed in the mail). Cannot file the original yet since there is no case number at clerk's office. What should I do? Just wait for the next move on the CA's part? Is it possible that they may not pursue the case in court knowing that I am going to demand proof of the debt? Have read so many postings here and don't want to hang myself out there with a settlement that isn't real, but don't want to go to court either. Please advise ... thanks.
