They may continue to pull a report for as long as they own the account and it is unpaid, unfortunately. Send them the SOL letter from Why Chat's site. They're unlikely to continue to monitor your credit report if they know there's little chance of recovery.

Now, putting a tradeline for the account on your report is RIGHT OUT if the reporting period has expired.
