Once Citibank hands it over to a lawyer they will not talk with you. You will have to make an agreement with a lawyer or go to court and fight.

The only offer I have received from the lawyer to settle is for 80%, and this seems to be the norm.

Find a good attorney to consult because you might be able to fight this and win. Also, if the Citi lawyer sees you have an attorney they will be more willing to cut a better deal.
