It is illegal to threaten a lawsuit unless they intend to carry thru. If you did not send your validation request CRRR, do so immediately, especially if you feel this is not your debt. If you do feel this could be your debt, give us the original creditor, the date you made last payment to the original creditor and your state (could be SOL).
