The charge off happened in April 2000. So it is 1 year away
from SOL in Illinois where I live. The amount is less than $1000,
and I would have no problem paying off the debt, but I would
want to pay it directly to Discover. Is this even a possibility now
that they have sold it off or am I more likely just to get sued if I
bring it up? I hope to at all costs avoid any dealing with Credigy,
and I have yet to get any correspondence from them except
noticing their name on my credit report.

BTW, Credigy only appears on my report from Equifax, not the
other 2. Is this common?
