served from police

I got a letter today from the police from Silver Fox Financial, Lp. The letter is titled Complaint on a contract. It basically says that i have to pay $7640 and if i pay it within 10 days they will waive the attorney's fees. I looked on my credit report and this account was closed in 11/2002. My questions is how do I respond. I live in the state of Georgia, but the credit card was opened when I lived in Alabama.
