Threatened with "Breah of Contract" lawsuit

In a nutshell, I have been contacted several times by a CA who usuually starts the conversation with something like "So, what attorney do you have to represent you in this lawsuit, or are you planning to pay?" When I ask what lawsuit, he tells me if I am refusing to pay the $1,500 Circuit City debt that his company will have to sue me for breach of contract. Any validity to that? ArPee
