cops here serve summons. very real, legal ones. every day. not where you are? if this is what the poster meant..that is one legal, real court summons. sometimes constables will serve in street clothes tho..which i hate. 6 am- im not opening any door to some strange man in plain clothes. but yes..uniformed officers here serve ya.
