I can't locate my printout right this second but go to the General Assembly's website (you can do that through www.ncgov.com and look on the agency menu) and thence to the NC General Statutes table of contents. Click Chapter 75 and Article 2 of that one lists prohibited acts by debt collectors. This part applies to all collectors and creditors who are NOT CAs--those are regulated under Chapter 58--and somewhere in Article 2, Ch 75, is a prohibition against calling or otherwise causing a telephone to ring unreasonably often. 5-6 times a day is, if you ax me, a bit much. Don't know how well I can help you because if it hasn't gone to a CA they just might counterclaim for the whole debt if you sue them for violation, but then the SOL on NCDUTPA is 4 years and the contract SOL is 3, so if nothing else you can wait that long and cream them. Keep good records.
