Just because they aren't licensed to collect in IL doesn't mean they can't enter a TL on your credit report. It means that they can't sue you in IL without getting an IL-licensed attorney.

It's never a good idea to dispute while you are within the SOL. It will just alert Credigy that you're trying to repair your credit and may have assets to protect. IF you're close to the SOL, wait until it expires then send them the SOL letter from Why Chat's site. Then you can try disputing the TL to see if it will come off.
