I know that the police was real because I know him. He is a neighbor of mine and just stated that Silver Fox Financial is a CA filing suit and I have 30 days to answer to them. It has a civil action file number so it has to be real. Here is the exact letter:

Silver Fos Financial: Plantiff
My name: Defendant

Complaint on a contract

Comes now the Plantiff in te above stated action and shows the Court the following:

1. THe defendant is a resident of said state and county and subject to the jurisdicition of this Court.

2. The defendant is indebted to the Plantiff in the sum of $7640.40, as a balance due under the terms of a credit card agreement between the parties dated March 9, 2000, which the current contract is presently in default.

3. Demand has been made upon said Defendant for the balance due. Despite said demand the Defendant has failed and refused to pay.

4.The Defendant is hereby notified that Plantiff seeks to enforce attorney's fees provision contained in the contract. If the defendant pays the full principal sum and accrued interest demanded within 10 days from the date of service of this conplaint upson said Defendant, no attorney's fees will be claimed. If the full principal sum is not paid within 10 days after service of this complaint, then attorneys fees pursuant to OCGA 13-1-11 will be charged.

Wherefore Plantiff demands judgement against the defendant for the sum of $7640.40 principal, $1853.01 interest plus additional accruing interest at the rate of 23.99% up until the date of judgement, $905.54 attorney's fees and all cost of the court.

So now what do I do?
