Debt validation question

Hi,

I have been researching debt validation as a possible tool against a CA and I don't really understand what the FDCPA deems acceptable as debt verifacation. So far all I have found is that computer printouts from the CA aren't acceptable but I don't really know what is.

Any info or links would be greatly appreciated!
