Will MBNA & Amex Delete Tradeline With 80% Settlement?

I sent a letter to MBNA & Amex offering to make a settlement for accounts that are many months late with bad payment history. I offered them 80% settlement but said they must also delete the tradeline. Do you think this is a reasonable offer? Will they do this? If not, what should I offer them?
