Have you checked to make sure you have no judgements against you? It can happen that a CA will convince a judge to freeze an account before suit and without notice if they can convince a judge that the debtor will likely take the money from the account to avoid paying the debt. From what I read, this is very common in Texas. It might be a good idea to start paying your bills with money order or cash, until you get this straightened out. There is an SOL for credit card debt. What state are you in? The only other advice I have for you is to stop talking to the CA. CAs lie and threaten, and if this is SOL, which it probably is, that is all they can do. But protect your money. Ounce of prevention.
