On the other hand, in many cases if you show that you KNOW there are laws they must abide by and that you will fight them, CA's will drop the account like a hot potato and resell it to the next one in line. They want EASY, pushover targets, not someone who is going to cost them more time and money by exercising your validation rights. This has happened to me with several CA's - and my bad accounts are only 2 years old. I've sent DV letters, that CA drops out of sight and a few months later another one pops up. At best, its a crap shoot, you must assess your situation and the risks you want to take.
