We are in Illinois (7 year SOL I believe) I've read the follow-up posts to my question (except Wondering's - his wouldn't come up) and they are such opposite advise! Why shouldn't I ask for validation? Also, shouldn't I just tell them I want to handle this with the original creditor and cut them out? I don't mind opening another account under my name only I have debt unpaid too and it's just a matter of time. We have hardly any money anyway.
