you are way past statue of limitations. dont pay a penny or it will show back up on the credit reports. they prolly bought it for a few cents and want you to pay. my advice is laugh at them. do not trust any settlement offer anyways..unless its in writing with some legal language. you are way past SOL...tell them that. see whychats SOL letter and send it CRRR, they are counting on you not knowing the law or your rights. dont pay it. my 2 cents! a lot of these companies buy these for 2 cents on the dollar and try to scare people to pay them a small fortune..and not know their legal rights. i mean..if they paid maybe 20 $ for this and they want 15,000? or 35% of that..ha ha. i dont think so! thats why they want the 35% settlement on something you no longer owe. nice profit for spending maybe 10 or 15- 20$, dont you think ? you do not owe this.
