Why Chat posts the above every five days for Newcomers to the forum.

They can file in the state where the default occurred, but they can't get personal jurisdiction over you if you fight it on the grounds of inconvenient forum. That doesn't keep many of them from getting default judgments by mailing summons to your old address, however (depending on the state law). But it would be hard to enforce unless you just lie there and take it.

The only way they can successfully sue you is where you live NOW.
