Absolutely. If you have bad credit, there is always the possibility that you will be sued. Protect your assets (especially banking info and current employment) Don't apply for credit (if you do, your current info will show on credit report) Decide what your plan of action will be if you are sued. Talk to a consumer attorney, and a bk attorney. Look at all of your options. Once you have a plan in place, relax and let the SOL run. You will avoid a lot of stress and sleepless nights if you take this attitude. It worked very well for me.
